When fashion week comes around we all are eager to see which designer will not only push the boundaries of fashion, but also whose show will be the most outrageous. This year we saw a few interesting ones, including Chanel, Moschino, and definitely Givenchy.

Watch this and you may just agree with me:

Was I lying?

To start, the set had a very high-low vibe to it. There were royal looking maroon carpets laid out on a grungy concrete floor. Arcade games, old computer monitors, and large television sets took over the middle of the room, which were offset by the dark, mysteriously powerful clothing.  The clothes told a Victorian era story including a black velvet dress, a burgundy sparkling gown with dramatic sleeves, and both corseted and peplum jackets. What I could not take my eyes off of, though, were the excessive facial piercings on all of the models. Antique, victorian jewelry was glued all over the models' faces. Many had huge septum piercings and ears bedazzled like I have never seen before. I did not necessarily like this look because I thought it took away from the actual clothing itself. What do you think?

  1. I personally agree with you about the piercing and other facial accessories used during this show. I was so distracted by "what is on her face" that it took away from the clothes!
