Post #3: My NYC Street-Style Finds

It has been a rough couple of weeks here in New York with the abundance of snow and freezing cold temperatures. I have been finding it hard to dress because I want to stay as warm as I can, while still looking chic and stylish. I found some amazing looks on the streets of New York City to help inspire both myself and you guys on what to wear until spring finally makes an appearance!

Look #1: Splash of Print
Meagan wore this outfit to Lincoln Center during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week to look around and take pictures. She was actually mistaken for a well known fashionista due to her awesome outfit! She paired a loud midi dress with a leather jacket and black booties to tone the print down a bit. She also accessorized with chic sunglasses and a structured handbag. It was just the right amount of color.

                                                        Look #2: All Black Everything

This look is simple, yet so chic (and warm, too)! Laura paired together an all black ensemble consisting of a sweater, skinny jeans, black leather booties, and her leather Marc Jacob's bag. She decided to accessorize with a wide brim hat, which I personally think makes this outfit. Laura's camel colored overcoat jazzes up her black on black clothing, giving her a degree of sophistication and edge.

These two styles were fabulously executed. Especially at FIT, students love to wear black but they don't want to seem too boring, so they add little details like both Meagan and Laura to make their style unique. Stay warm and think spring!

  1. Hey girl,

I love the all black everything...obviously because it is never out of style and everything goes! I have seen a lot of both of these trends out on the streets. The print I have mostly seen in print or pattern leggings lately but I love the printed dress with a simple black leather jacket and booties.
    Very cute trends!

  2. Loved that you mentioned two different and very popular trend. Black is never out of style and also the easiest thing to throw on but the pop of color is perfect for the dreary NYC days. I also love the layout of your blog, I think its great!
